Policy benchmarking and value for money review

Allen + Clarke recently undertook a benchmarking for a government agency on the cost and quality of their policy advice, project planning and project management approaches. The outcome of this review resulted in increased efficiency and effectiveness of delivering on a suite of their flagship projects.

Evaluation of health programmes in remote Aboriginal communities

Over 2009/10,  Allen + Clarke evaluated two high profile health programmes in the Northern Territory for the Australian Department of Health and Ageing, the Northern Territory Department of Health and Families, and the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance of the NT (AMSANT) .

Strategic policy review and development

Allen + Clarke has considerable experience in assisting government agencies to review or develop inter-sectoral strategies.  This work has helped our client’s to define, and achieve, their core outcomes and to mobilise and unite different sectors and stakeholders towards common goals.

Regulatory design and review work 

Allen + Clarke takes the view that regulation may or may not be the best solution to a problem.  We believe that adequate consideration has to be given to both regulatory and non-regulatory solutions to policy problems.  The first thing we look at is the nature and scale of problem, before identifying and analysing a range of potential solutions.

Local government - Hazard mitigation works business plan to Government

In 2006, Allen + Clarke supported the Whakatane District Council and Environment Bay of Plenty to successfully prepare a business case to Government on a flood mitigation scheme.  We provided assistance to the Councils to coordinate the required engineering reports and update a cost-benefit analysis.
